I’m proud to announce and invite you to join us for the 5th Annual Dan Cook Memorial Classic set for June 24, 2013 at La Cantera Resort. Last year’s event was a great success, grossing nearly $100k for inner-city youth at SA Youth. This year’s event will be even better.

Held in memory of our family friend and legendary sports columnist Dan Cook, this event is vital to the mission of SA Youth.

As you may remember, Dan Cook was instrumental in developing SA Youth along with the Dan Cook Center located on Poplar Street. Today, SA Youth works to prevent kids from dropping out of school and gives those who have quit school a second chance for success. SA Youth programs include: tutoring, music lessons, job training opportunities, educational advancement, physical fitness, character education and life skills, healthy meals and other youth development opportunities.
